The breathtaking view of the castle from the room provided a wonderful backdrop. Breakfast options were plentiful, particularly for meat lovers, and the attentive service made dining enjoyable. However, the hotel appears outdated. areas showed signs of dampness, and the shower lacked water pressure, making it an uncomfortable experience. Additionally, noise from nearby bars could be problematic for those seeking quiet.

Located just across the river from a stunning castle, the scenic views from the rooms are truly memorable. The hotel offers lovely outdoor seating with a river view, perfect for enjoying a meal or drink.
Charging your phone can become a hassle with a lack of convenient plugs near the single bed. Noise can be disruptive during the late afternoon from cleaning staff, especially if you're trying to take a nap. Additionally, the room felt a bit warm at times, requiring a fan to manage the temperature.

The stay was quite pleasant overall. I was there for a short visit to explore the Medieval Mile and found the location to be exceptionally central, making it easy to reach attractions like the Butler Gallery and St Francis Abbey. While the room could use some updates, the staff were genuinely helpful and the breakfast quality was satisfactory. The outdoor area overlooking the river added a nice touch to my overall experience.
